Solar-blind UV photodiodes have use in UV index monitoring

June 22, 2023
The APX-SC0010 and APX-SC00025 silicon carbide broadband UV photodiodes feature 1 and 0.25 mm2 active areas, respectively.

The APX-SC0010 and APX-SC00025 silicon carbide broadband UV photodiodes feature 1 and 0.25 mm2 active areas, respectively. The solar-blind photodiodes operate in the 200380 nm spectral range and can completely block out any wavelengths outside this range, including the visible spectrum. Applications include UV index monitoring, dose measurement, and flame detection.
